Hoole Walker Street Community Park Improvements

Children from local Primary Schools celebrated the opening of Walker Street Community Park in Hoole following their direct involvement in the design of fencing.

The Lord Mayor of Chester was on hand to officially open the revamped community park which had suffered from neglect and antisocial behavior in recent times. A grant of £24,813 was awarded by WREN towards environmental improvements costing £35,000 in total.

The new park is a much more welcoming place with improved pathways, fencing, planting and a small piece of play equipment reflecting the railway heritage of the area.
