Chirk Non Turf Practice Facility

Chirk AAA is situated on the outskirts of The Ceiriog Valley being an outside location and base for the town's multi sport playing facility which includes Chirk Cricket Club.

With cricket becoming more popular in the local area and the club expanding, a need for extra non turf practice area had been identified. The non turf practice area will support and enhance the successful cricket club and, due to the demand on the usage of the ground, will enable the club to maximize training sessions as they will be able to hold matches and training sessions at the same time.

The main aim is to use the non-turf practice area to encourage youngsters from the age of 5 up to take up cricket, developing new skills and generating more grass-roots interest in the sport from an early age.

To support this aim the club will provide free coaching sessions for youngsters attending both local schools, which will encourage more participation in the sport.

Chirk Cricket Club are hosts to national, county and regional matches at junior and senior level.
